    My staff and I apologize for missing most of the Chili Cook-off. We thought we’d have plenty of time to make it after covering the 12:30pm Conference meeting at Rockaway Council. Unfortunately a misplaced cloud blocked their Sundial and the meeting didn’t start till 3pm. We did get to see the Chili-Bowl aftermath. George won!!! (That explained the empty Wendy’s bags in our Dumpster), Margaret came in Second (A birthday present to go with her crown & cake) and Cathy, the local favorite, came in third. We heard that there were seven entries and seven judges. If this was a Corporation Meeting they’d still be arguing.
    It’s good to see the Council getting back to normal after the Holidays. Our Tree of Hearts looks Great and Paulie’s Posters & Ceiling boosters are setting the atmosphere for our upcoming events. I wish I knew what Planet he gets his atmosphere from. With everything we have planned we’ll need a bulldozer for our next clean up day. Volunteers would be good too!!!
    AJ is back and feeling much better (with both hands)! I know we all missed him during his absence. Luckily, the little shows that Danny provided between Anger Management Classes kept us all amused (and ducking for cover). Now we know why Knights wear helmets.
    My Staff and I all received the Suspension Notice from Supreme. I’m glad it happened. None of us even knew that we had a death benefit. I did read the policy they included. It states that the benefit has to be claimed within two years of your death. I guess I’ll have to let my family know about this well kept secret. I’m not planning on making any calls after I’m dead.
    Speaking of Dead, “HOW BOUT THOSE COWBOYS?” Sorry Batman, the Batmobile isn’t going to the Superbowl. Even Gumby’s not smiling anymore. GO GIANTS!!!
    My Staff and I are making it a point to tune in for Freddie’s Five minutes of Fame on Telecare TV. Five minutes will give him plenty of time to spread the word about St. Mary’s Kids, and make a fool of himself. We don’t want to miss either one. We’re looking forward to it.
